2 gals + TONS of gear
It all started with an idea, we loaded the car up with hammocks, tennis rackets, fuel, kiteboarding gear, surf boards, mtn bikes and headed south to California. We discovered new bike trails, predicted the next up and coming towns (you’ll have to ask us for the list), and nearly scared our own selves to death camping in the woods.
We slipped on our favorite bikinis (which at this stage were only prototypes), tugged our thick wetsuits over the kinis and went kiteboarding under the Golden Gate Bridge!
Then we continued our journey down the coast to Carmel-by-the-Sea where we fell asleep under the stars in our hammocks.
Santa Cruz was calling our name so we drove south, where we found ourselves at an ocean front beach condo where we rallied to play tennis as a true test of the bikinis ability to support the (ad)ventures gal in all her activities.
San Luis Obispo has always had a special place in both of our hearts, plus the swell was coming in so we drove through Big Sur to Shell Beach.
As all roadie trips go, something exciting HAS to happen that tests ones patience. Always when you’re most tired and most excited to climb into your own bed. We hit the road back home and I ran over a nail! Yep, we got a flat tire in the middle of NOWHERE on a Sunday.
